Friday DIY Roundup + What's Going On

I've been meaning to give you an update on what's going on and why my posts here are getting sparse.

If you've been a long time reader, you may remember that I've been sick since the beginning of the year, with ups and downs, and even a time when I thought I was finally back on my feet.

Well, I started feeling very tired again (plus headaches and the like...) and have been into further medical investigation. It appears that I have a leak of cerebrospinal fluid.

I've been spending my days lately going from doctor to doctor (not complaining though, I'm being taken really good care of) and don't know yet what will be the next steps. The mere evocation of brain surgery scares me, but well...one step at a time.

In the meantime, it's friday so of course I have to share my favorite DIY projects of the week!

1. DIY pencil skirt from Delia Creates
2. How to make a roll on essential oil blend from My Life at Playtime
3. DIY wooden earrings from The Merrythought
4. Simple copper light from Kristi Murphy

Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Oh, Coralie !

Darling, I am quite new to your blog. I have been following it just for a month or so. But I have read well. I mean I have literally scrolled through the archive, back to the very first post, and read it from the very beginning up to the newest post available at the time. I love your round ups, and your personality!
The news about your health are really upsetting, but I hope (no, I believe!) that you will feel better in no time! Good people like you deserve the best!
Your readers love and miss you. Be strong and positive. Fingers crossed your next post tells us about the brightest future possible xoxo

    1. Thank you so, so very much for your kind words, for reading so thoroughly, and for your wishes! I had a frightening call with a surgeon this morning and was about to cry when I read your comment. Now I'm smiling! Truly, you brightened my day, if not my entire month. I appreciate your support more than I can say.

  9. Oh Clemence! That must have been so scary! I've never been in your shoes, but I do have a friend who had a spinal fluid leak a few years back, and she's absolutely fine:-) Please take care of yourself – at least you're already surrounded by lovely things, hee hee... Sending over a lot of get-well-soon-wishes! Smiles, Steffi

    1. Aw thank you so much Steffi! I'm so glad to hear about your friend. Was the leak located in her brain/skull? Did she undergo surgery? In any case, happy that she's doing great!

    2. As I remember, it was in her skull – and it stopped on its own. Just saw your update and already sending you a virtual bunch of pretty flowers... Good luck, I'm sure everything will be fine! xoxo

  12. I'm so sorry to hear that, I myself is in a similar situation going from one doctor to another trying to find out what's wrong. It's a tiring process in it self. I wish you get well soon. And by the way, I love your blog, thanks for sharing!

  13. Hello, I just stumbled upon your lovely blog and saw words and phrases like "headache" "leak" and "brain surgery" and it all brought me back to January 20th 2009 when I had brain surgery to add a VP shunt to fix the damage that pseudo tumor cerebri had done to my brain and skull. I later had to have a second survey to repair the rupture that happen near my nasal cavity. I will say on day 8 post brain surgery I woke to a headache-less morning...it was a foreign but welcomed feeling. I suffered with daily headaches for 5 years straight! I am sending you lots of LOVE and LIGHT and a speedy recovery.
