Advent Calendar DIY and Free Printables Roundup

I was chatting with friends about Christmas gifts for kids when they said they got their nephews an early gift: a Playmobil advent calendar, where you get a new little toy each day. It reminded me of how much I loved those old fashioned cardboard advent calendars with a Santa shaped chocolate behind each door. I would think about it all day, looking forward to the moment where finally, my sister and I would savor our daily little treat. As I was thinking about these days with a pinch of nostalgia, it occurred to me that I haven't had an advent calendar in years... 15 years maybe? So this year, we're definitely having one.
